Explain what your products are?
There are two products used in the SurfaceGuard System The disinfectant used by SurfaceGuard is EPA registered and is on N List for killing SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19. It has no alcohol, fragrances, dye, or VOC's and leaves no harmful residue on surfaces after evaporatio. It is NSF certified D2 (No Rinse Required) as a food contact surface sanitizer, and kills 99.9% of bacteria. The antimicrobial used by SurfaceGuard is EPA registered to inhibit the growth of bacteria, mold, mildew, fungi and algae that can exist on many everyday surfaces. It creates a non-toxic shield that forms a covalent bond, also called a (molecular bond) on porous and non-porous surfaces.
Do I still need my cleaning service?
Yes. SurfaceGuard is not a cleaning service. We work hand to hand with your cleaning regiment.
Will there be any changes to my surfaces after treatment?
At the molecular level yes. The antimicrobial creates a new surface of antimicrobial protection that bonds to the current surface. It is not visible to the eye and will not alter the feel of the surface.
How do I know that your treatments are safe?
Both the disinfectant and the antimicrobial are registered with the EPA ans safe for food surface contact.
Does the antimicrobial kill SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19?
The antimicrobial is NOT EPA registered to kill SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19. No claims of any kind are made by SurfaceGuard that the antimicrobial kills SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19 and SurfaceGuard does NOT use the antimicrobial for this purpose. SurfaceGuard kills SARS-COV-2, the conronavirus that causes COVID-19 by using an EPA registered N list disinfectant.
Does the use of your antimicrobial cause resistant strains of microorganisms?
No. The antimicrobial used by SurfaceGuard utizlies a mechanical kill action where cell membranes are ruptured. There is no opportunity for cell adaptation or mutation.
